It's time to change plastic packaging everywhere to eco friendly alternatives. Plastic packaging is a huge problem. We all use it every day, and we don�t even realize how much of it there is in our lives. It�s everywhere�from bottles to bags to food containers, even clothing! And most of these plastics are made from crude oil or natural gas. Plastics are made from nonrenewable materials and take hundreds of years to break down in landfills. But even if they do break down, what�s left behind is microplastic�tiny particles that can be eaten by animals and humans. These plastics get into our food supply and cause health problems for both humans and wildlife.

It's time we looked at the natural alternatives to plastic for solutions. There are plenty of natural alternatives to plastic that are both sustainable and healthier for the environment. Let�s take a look at some of them:

Natural fibers like linen, cotton, hemp, flax and wool make great alternatives to plastic. They don�t leach chemicals into your food or drinks, are biodegradable (if composted) and renewable resources.

Here at Bumboo, we�re looking to work with an array of materials that can prove to be competent alternatives to the plastic crisis. For now, we�re working with bamboo fibre, bagasse (or sugarcane fibre, which is a by-product from the sugar industry) as well as paper. 

These three materials hold a tremendous potential to solve the plastic pollution created via food takeaway and delivery packaging.
